About the Society of Curious Cases
The Society of Curious Cases is a private London institution devoted to the preservation and examination of unusual case files.
For generations, it has collected accounts of strange crimes, unexplained events, and forgotten historical curiosities from across the centuries.
Selected files are opened for public perusal, and visitors are invited to consider the evidence and decide whether each account is fact or fiction.
From time to time, the Society also publishes puzzle books drawn from its archives. Those who solve a volume may submit the solution within the Vault, where their achievement is recorded and a new Society rank is awarded.
Membership is open to the curious. Registered members receive notice of newly opened files, forthcoming publications and occasional news from the Society.
Some records are authentic. Others are fabrications. The distinction is not always obvious.
